[Version 2.5.6]
- Implemented my own dYamlConfiguration class for loading variables.yml, this is required as Bukkit's config class lacks Unicode support
- Use Bukkit's implementation of addColor, as it's faster than the RegEx I was using

aolko, this build should fix your issue, though keep in mind the Minecraft client does not support Unicode without client modification.

The variables.yml MUST be saved as UTF-8 if you want unicode support. Also, as I said, keep in mind Minecraft does NOT support unicode in the base client, and the Windows terminal will NOT show unicode characters.

I'm seeing a bug with any chat with "+m" in there. It doubles chat. I think this is related to iChat, but I can't be sure. Can anyone verify? Just type +m somewhere in a regular chat message.

Please refer to the Factions documentation on how to use Factions chat tags.

I just went to the latest CB Rec Build 2.0 (2190) and now I get a bug with duplicating Chat.
Specifically, if I use more than 20 or so characters, it duplicates the first 20 on the next line.
The exact same iChat 2.5.7 settings worked properly before this; is it the new jline feature playing up?
(I have disabled it with -nojline in the startup batch file). Tis possibly another plugin being weird,
but this seemed to be the logical place to start.
EDIT: Amaranth recently posted this:
"For the odd line wrapping and doubled text in Spoutcraft you need to talk to them but I think they just fixed it."
SpoutCraft. Gah. Carry on as if I wasn't here :P

@Inscrutable, is this duplicated ingame, or just in the console?

Erm..? Wut? Prior to continuing to request support, I recommend reading the first post, specifically what is required to offer you support

Hello, this should be pretty easy, i'm asking for help since i've tried a couple hundred different things. Could you please simply give me a strip that makes my group name and my display name my group color, without coloring the whole thing such as the messages and the [ and ] for the group part.

To save Drakia's sanity, I think I can field this question.
You can go as far as defining custom variables for chat colour and group colour, but a simpler way is:

in config.yml: iname-format: &f[+prefix+&f]+suffix +displayname&f
in variables.yml (under groups:)
Citizen:
prefix: '&9Citizen'
suffix: '&9'

Where I am using the suffix to hold the display name colour (&9). Note the &f returns text to white.
You'd probably want to do something similar to the /me format too. Hope that helps.

[Version 2.5.8]
- Add ichat.format.color/formatting permissions for more customization
- Switch to the new "AsyncPlayerChatEvent"
- Thread-safe VariableHandler
- Build against 1.3.1

This build is not compatible with 1.2.5 versions of CraftBukkit, and the permissions changes will not be backported.

[Version 2.5.9]
- Revert changes to VariableHandler
- Revert to using PlayerChatEvent as Bukkit itself is not thread safe
- Add /me permission/config
- Hopefully resolve NPE in loadConfig of VH
- Add support for GroupManager
[Version 2.5.8]
- Add ichat.format.color/formatting permissions for more customization
- Switch to the new "AsyncPlayerChatEvent"
- Thread-safe VariableHandler
- Build against 1.3.1
