Edit: Never mind I fixed it all by myself.
I haven't played BF3 in a couple months why did I still have my stats down here? Maybe I need Skyrim stats!! :D

Drakia, any idea if you could support Vault?

Register is pretty much dying from what I can tell: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/register/

Vault is active and has an actual team :P

Hi again. Trying to rebuild my survival server, I added the latest CB and gave it a whirl.
Stargate 0.7.2, Craftbukkit dev build 1532, MC 1.0.0, PEx 1.16, Register 1.5, iConomy 6.08, a bunch more plugins...
Stargate worked intermittently (signs sometimes didnt react), and I found a bunch of these errors in the server log,
presumably relating to the Free node (I was using my own gates).

Still waiting for a RB, so maybe its Bukkits bug, or Spout, or PEx, or a bad hair day...

Do you keep an active directory of past versions? I am looking for version 0.70 because it is the only one that will work with my version of bukkit and when i redid my server I could not find this version anywhere again. I have to keep the version of bukkit I am using currently because some of my other plugins have no updated yet. v0.70 worked beautifully for me with my version of bukkit. Please let me know if you have these older versions available somewhere? Thanks

That's an odd one Inscrutable, I'll take a look into it tonight and try to push atleast a hotfix if not a proper fix. Do you have any method if reproducing it consistently?

Dhozer, I don't keep an archive, but I can upload a build of 0.7.0 for you tonight, just be forewarned that I do not offer support for old builds.

Awesome that sounds great! Appreciate it I'll keep an eye on the downloads page. I understand there will be no support, hopefully CB won't take until 2012 to release a recommended build so that my other plugins will update. I do however love the fact that you are already releasing updates while other people sit around and wait. Thanks again!

Will the plugin still be maintained for bukkit, mc 1.0.0+ ?

Pushed a quick update (v0.7.2.1) that should fix that NPE, I don't have the time tonight to determine the main cause of it however.

Here is a link to 0.7.0, again, this build contains known bugs, and is not supported: http://thedgtl.net/bukkit/Stargate-070.jar

Sorry, no. It seemed pretty inconsistent to me, It seemed to work after two or three failed tries to use a gate-sign.
No apparent diff if I held an object or not, it happened using a Free gate and also other gates I own (free for me).
I enabled the debug options, but nothing obvious came to light. Here, take a gander:

Always on portals can be "blown out" by ghast fireballs.

Drakia, any chance you could gimme a Yes/No on the Vault suggestion? Register is dying/inactive/not updated. If you don't want to add it, then at least I can start looking at other options to make it work, now I'm basically in broken-Stargate-features mode, waiting for a reply :P

Thanks!

And something entirely different:

Stargates break when a snowman walks through them and places snow plates inside the gate...I realize it's not a Stargate bug, but perhaps cool to add a fix for this anyways :P

Thank you Drakia, No more sign glitches on stargates (0.7.2.1), CB 1543.
I am also running Register 1.5 and iConomy 6.08, and gates charge appropriate fees.
I don't think Register is actually broken yet. But vault support would broaden applicability.
[and Great guglumugli, when is a RB for 1.0.0 going to arrive?]

Well read here: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/register/

I've always had issues with Register, and now it's not even being updated anymore ... anyways it's always good to support newer+better tech, imho.

Ugh I really dislike Niji, that dev hasn't kept up with a single plugin, and yet is in charge of some of the largest and most used plugins for Bukkit, it's pathetic. I'll look into Vault, but don't know when I'll have time to implement it.

godsyn, destroyexplosion: true means an explosion WILL destroy a gate, have you tried setting it to false?

I'll take a look into snowmen, I dunno if Bukkit has a snowman block place event yet.

Inscrutable, I really wish they'd release an RB, it's taking them WAY too long, then again, their bug list is huge.

From what I understood Niji has an incurable disease? Maybe he's trying to leave a mark, but at the same time he wants to try as many things as possible.
It is indeed a problem but I don't know what we can do about it.

To me if you want to leave a mark you don't make plugins used by thousands of people and then just abandon them like they don't matter.

A skidmark is still a mark.
But back on topic, abandoning thousands of people like they don't matter... didn't we just see something like that? ;)
I know Register is marked inactive, maybe laziness. I figure Register still works with iConomy6, because they're both Niji's.
About half the plugins I'm running on MC1.0.0 aren't updated, but they still work. :D
