Stargate-Bungee is no longer required for Stargate to interact with the BungeeCord proxy.

How do i use it then? im useing bunjees recomended build right now. When i go through a portal, it just pops me out where i went in.

The first post contains all of the information you need, including what is required if you need further assistance:
First Post wrote:PLEASE READ IF YOU NEED SUPPORT:
I require a few things to offer support to you. First, I need you to enable debug mode (set debug and permdebug to true in the Stargate config.yml file). Second, I need you to post your server.log file to http://pastebin.com and post a link to that in the topic. Then I need you to paste both your Stargate config.yml, and your Permissions config to http://pastebin.com and link to those as well. Without this information I will be unable to help you, so do yourself a favor and post the required information!

Do you have a non-supported development build available for testing on a Spigot 1.5 development server?
This is the error we are getting http://pastie.org/6580070 as well if we delete the entire stargate folder and launch up it becomes much smaller: http://pastie.org/6580116

This is a Bukkit/Spigot issue and is not something I can work around. It has existed for close to a year, but the Bukkit team has refused to fix it:
https://github.com/Bukkit/CraftBukkit/b ... n.java#L16
https://bukkit.atlassian.net/browse/BUKKIT-1033

They utilize sign.lines.length, without first checking that the returned TileEntitySign is not null. This causes an NPE in a CraftBukkit class when trying to get a sign state.

I previously had a workaround for this, but as of Bukkit 1.4.5 I had to remove my fix because it required overriding a CraftBukkit class.
https://github.com/TheDgtl/Stargate-Buk ... 9b78f#L4R1
https://github.com/TheDgtl/Stargate-Buk ... 947#L2L697

Note though, that it should not stop gates from working, it will only stop signs from drawing. (And I've tried a try/catch, it doesn't work for a constructor for some odd reason)

The plugin seems to work perfectly fine on 1.4.7 - just started seeing these errors on 1.5
I'll do more testing after my sleep (just about heading off to bed) - I havent actually checked if the gates still work and all so I'll go ahead and check em out when I'm awake again. Even if they end up working though; seeing all that on startup will be horrid :( Really hope something can be done to fix it, I'm sure md_5 would be willing to push some sort of fix for this to spigot. Server depends on this plugin incredibly.

Anyways off to bed; will be back in a few hours.

Well, it's a bug that's existed in Bukkit for the past year, but they've apparently completely screwed it hard in 1.5. I had made a workaround, but since Bukkit decided to add version numbers to their class path, there's nothing I can do that won't require way more work on my end than I'm willing to put in because of their bug.

Maybe they'll have it fixed by the time a 1.5 RB comes out.

Well tested stargate on absolutely zero plugins, new map, fresh everything - broken
Then panicked... Then calmed down and spoke to md_5

And voila! Spigot <3
change 1: https://github.com/EcoCityCraft/Spigot/ ... 6f12fb9d23
change 2: https://github.com/EcoCityCraft/Spigot/ ... 9fb169732a

Tested on fresh server, and full backup of production box, all works well, all errors gone, lets get down and dance!
...Anyways md_5 would like to know if you have any suggestions for improvement - do let us know :)

Woah, crazy. I'm used to things not getting fixed.

Did that patch resolve the issues you were having?

Yes this fixed all our issues - was wondering if you have any further suggestions for improvements on that patch.
And yeah that's spigot ... The team listens to the user base and accepts pull requests and bug reports in a great timely fashion ;)

The patch pretty much directly applied my workaround, so I don't have any suggestions.

I do wonder what the underlying issue is though, it seems like sign objects for one reason or another aren't attaching to their entity properly. Not sure what the far-reaching consequence of that is.

Hey Drakia,
Have you thought of putting stargate up on spigotmc.org? Since it can work with bungeecord.

Hello.
I'm not sure how the support works here, but I'm giving it a shot :).

After using the plugin for a long time, I updated bukkit to the newest build, and hen I got this error http://pastebin.com/nBxM6h4Z
I obviously tried running it fresh/clean, but is it possible that it is a bukkit error?.

My best guess, you have a broken .gate file.

And..to fix it is to delete the gates itself?...

Remove the invalid .gate layout file.

Either move them all out of the Gates folder, and re-add them one by one until it breaks, or manually verify that each .gate file is of the correct format.

Most likely, you have a .gate file with no actual gate design in it.

well, I did it a little forceful and just deleted the stargate folder completely and let it re "install" And I still got the error (yes, I quit and reboot the server). Even with the newest build it doesn't work..

I just tested with the latest Bukkit built. The only way I am able to duplicate this is be placing an invalid .gate layout file in the plugins/Stargate/Gates/ folder (Either empty, or with no design). There is pretty much nothing else that should cause this error.

that is really really weird. I still can't get it to run, but when I delete the starcraft folder in the plugin folder, it isn't recreated... it's getting weirder and weirder...
